About

Since its opening in 2005, Gallery Kong has showcased a wide range of globally famous photographers, greatly influencing the photography industry in Korea.  When the gallery moved into the newly built facility next to Cheongwadae’s Chunchugwan in Samcheong-dong, it expanded from being just a photo gallery to a multimedia gallery displaying all kinds of modern art, including communication arts, sculpture, video installations, etc.  By showcasing works of globally famous artists like Bernard Faucon (France), Chen Ruo Bing (China), Michael Kenna (UK), and Erwin Olaf (Netherlands), Gallery Kong is a gallery which shows the trend of contemporary art in 21st century Korea. This gallery also plays a very crucial role in helping Korean artists establish presence abroad by connecting them to galleries and shows outside Korea.
