Hwanghakjeong is an archery field built by Emperor Gojong who strongly believed that archery was the best activity for training one's body and spirit. Originally located in Gyeonguigung Palace, this archery field was relocated here under Inwangsan Mountain during 1922. Known far and wide for its magnificent scenery, Hwanghakjeong is located next to Hwanghakjeong Korean Archery Gallery, allowing visitors to access all kinds of information about Korean archery in one place.
