  ○ Maintain significant usability as a visual symbol that beckons memories of the past, as well as history

  ○ Offer a chance for expo-goers to further expand their view of cultural history through provided commentary that pinpoints the artistic significance of each poster

The Kimdaljin Art Archives & Museum opens its exhibition, Art Posters Outliving Their Exhibitions, which is grounded in the idea of the "art poster." As the oldest form of media used to market and advertise for exhibitions and galleries within the art community, the art poster is something that, once a certain period has passed, loses its practical use, leaving only its artistic and archival value intact. Especially for a solo exhibition, art posters are viewed prior to works displayed at an exhibition and uniquely function as the first impression of the artist among the public.
