The Seoul City Wall is a city-scale fortress heritage constructed to mark the boundaries of Hanseongbu, the capital of the Joseon Dynasty, to display the capital's authority, and to defend against external invasions. With an average height of about 5 to 8 meters and a total length of approximately 18.6 kilometers, the Seoul City Wall is a landmark of the historical and cultural city of Seoul, built upon Korea's unique fortification techniques and collective craftsmanship.

Located in Heunginjimun Park in Jongno-gu, Seoul, the Seoul City Wall Museum is a cultural space equipped with permanent exhibition halls, special exhibition halls, a Seoul City Wall resource room, and a learning room, encompassing the history and culture of the Seoul City Wall from the Joseon Dynasty to the present.
